Sprint 27 Release Notes 04-04-2019

This document describes enhancements and corrections for School LINQ.

New Features

Fund Management

Accounts Payable

Employee Reimbursements Report

  • New! The Employee Reimbursements Report now has a Void Date column that displays the date of voided reimbursements in red.

    • If a reimbursement has been voided, the Total and Tax columns for that reimbursement will still show the original amounts of the reimbursement, but those amounts will not be included in the Total row for the employee.

Print Checks/Create ACH

  • New! A section for employee Direct Deposit Distribution information has been added to the employee check stub when money is being distributed among multiple banks or accounts.

    • The new section displays Account Type, Last 4 digits of Acct # and Amount deposited to the bank.

NC Specific

ORBIT Import/ Export

  • New! An ORBIT Adjustments tab has been added that allows users to enter adjustments to the ORBIT file.
    • Click the blue arrow icon to select an Employee from the grid.
    • Select a Calendar Year and Calendar Month from the drop-down lists for the Payment Period that needs adjusting.
      • A list of checks from the selected period displays. Click the add adjustment link to adjust a check.
    • The following fields are all editable:
      • Adjustment Code
      • Plan Code
      • Pay Type
      • Retirement Gross
      • Contribution
        • Changes to theGrossorContribution Amountswill display a warning if the contribution amount does not match the calculated contribution based off the gross amount.
        • Clicking Savewill update the Adjustments box with the information entered.

ORBIT Import/ Export - ORBIT Export Tab

  • New! An ORBIT Adjustment Report has been added.

    • The Adjustment Report will generate when creating an ORBIT Report if adjustments were made in the period selected.

    • A button has been added to allow the Adjustment Report to be printed independent of the ORBIT Report.

Manage Accounts

Journal Entries

  • A compression button has been added to provide users the ability to compress Journal Entries after expanding them.

  • Journal Entries will now group by Journal Code, Effective Date, Reference #, and Transaction GUID (global unique identifier).

    • This will ensure Journal Entries made on the same day with the same reference number will remain as separate transactions.

Accounts Receivable

Manage Invoices

  • When creating an A/R Invoice, Billing Groups without any customers will now be excluded from the Billing Groups drop-down list.

Cash Management

Process Payments

  • The employee/ vendor’s Bank Account number will now display an asterisk (*) and only show the last 4 digits on the ACH Report.

Manage Employees - General Info tab

  • When employee-related information is deleted, the Employee History window will now correctly indicate which user deleted the information.

Manage Employees - Jobs tab

  • The 'Exempt' option has been removed from all Hourly Jobs.

    • 'Exempt' has been removed from the FLSA drop-down list if the Pay Type is Hourly or Hourly Substitute in both the Edit Employee Job section and the Add New Employee Job form

    • When a Pay Group checked for Lump Sum Hours Entry is selected, switching FLSA to 'Exempt' is disabled, and the FLSA field is now disabled in both the Edit Employee Job section and the Add New Employee Job form

    • The Overtime Account Mask is no longer required on jobs with Pay Type of Hourly or Hourly Substitute if the selected Pay Group is checked for Lump Sum Hours Entry in both the Edit Employee Job section and the Add New Employee Job form.

    • In Administration - Job Setup the 'Exempt' option has been removed from the FLSA list if the Pay Type is Hourly or Hourly Substitute.

Employee Direct Deposit Report

  • Users will now be able to uncheck the Validated check box on any employee direct deposit line without making other changes. When unchecked that direct deposit account will be prenoted.

Processing

Check Register Report

  • The Check Register Report will now print in Portrait orientation instead of landscape.

NC Specific

ORBIT Import/ Export - Export Tab

  • When exporting the file, it will now include Retirement Adjustments on the ORBIT file if adjustments were made in the selected period.

Budget Builder

Manage Versions

  • The Fiscal Year drop-down list will now default to the current fiscal year, even when the next fiscal year is an option in the drop-down list.

  • If attempting to save an entry that results in the budget going over the allotment amount, an Over Budget warning message will display.
